I. Memberships
- Membership: - THE ADVANTAGE membership is open to any individual of good character and
responsible credit background. Membership entitles the member to the use of THE
ADVANTAGE CLUB'S facilities during all normal hours of operation, subject to the rules
stated herein and to revisions made periodically by the management.
- Membership types - there are several different memberships offered by THE ADVANTAGE CLUB.
These are described, along with a fee structure, on the Membership Information
sheet. A member may change status by completing a Membership Change form (available
at the front desk) before the 15th of the month for the following month's billing. Due
to the fee structure of the full tennis membership, downgrading from this full-play
program will not be permitted anytime during the year. A member terminating
membership and rejoining within a 12 month period is subject to a $250 returning
initiation fee.
- Membership status - there are four states of memberships:
1. Individual: any single person, 18 or
over, joining THE CLUB.
2. Married Couple: any
couple joined by wedlock. Also, any parent-child combination in which the child is a
full dependent, living with the parent.
3. Family: coves any
immediate family members, i.e., mother, father, and any fully dependent children living
with the parents.
4. Student: any
full-time student with current school identification.
- Initiation fee and dues - the initiation fee is nonrefundable and begins membership privileges.
The amount of the fee is designated on the Membership Information sheet.
Monthly dues are billed automatically to the member's credit card, checking or savings
account on the first business day of the month. A $10 service charge will be
assessed for insufficient funds covering the monthly billing. Continual billing
problems will result I membership termination.
- Continuation of membership - memberships continue monthly without notice until voluntary termination of
membership is enacted by the member.
- Voluntary termination of membership - a member may terminate membership by completing a termination form before
the 15th of the month for the following month's billing. With justification (in
writing) from a physician, a member my also "freeze" a membership due to a
health problem.
- Rejoining - a previous member whose accounts are in good standing may rejoin THE CLUB
(initiate membership and its privileges) by paying the current initiation fee.
- Involuntary termination of membership -
THE ADVANTAGE CLUB reserves the right to
terminate the membership status of any member any time for failing to comply with club
policies or for conduct determined to be improper or detrimental to THE CLUB.
Allowing another person to use a membership card or number will be cause for immediate
termination. No refunds will be given if a membership is terminated.

II. Rules and Regulations
- Registration - membership cards are issued to all members. The membership number is
to be given at the front desk and will be logged into the computer upon each club visit.
Temporary club members must present a current, dated membership card upon each
visit and sign in on the daily log sheet. There is a $5 fee for replacement of a
lost membership card. Use of a membership card or number by another person will
result in immediate termination.
- Towels - Towels are provided by THE CLUB.
- Lockers - day lockers are available at no additional fee. Day lockers are a
one-day concept. When a member leaves for the day, all belongings and locks are to
be removed. Members may use their own locks or use a "loaner" from the
desk. Personal locks that are left overnight will be cut off and all items placed
in the lost and found.
- Lost and found - THE ADVANTAGE CLUB is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The
lost and found are is at the front desk. Any time left over 30 days becomes the
property of THE ADVANTAGE CLUB.
- Guests - guests may use THE ADVANTAGE CLUB by paying the current guest walk-in
fee. a maximum of 4 visits a year is permitted. Guest tennis and racquetball
players must pay an additional court fee. Members are responsible for their guests
while they are in THE CLUB.
- Court reservations - see Court Reservations Policy.
- Additional fees - fees may be charged for optional participation in, and not limited to, the
following: leagues, tanning, massages, lessons, clinics, tournaments, child care, special
events
- Smoking Tobacco - smoking or chewing tobacco is NOT permitted in any area of THE CLUB.
- Attire - proper attire is required in all areas of THE CLUB. Men are required
to wear shirts at all times and bathing suits are permitted in locker rooms only.
Non-marking athletic shoes must be worn on all playing surfaces.
- Children/students - child care is a service provided to members and their guests for a nominal
fee. Unless playing on a court with an adult or in a supervised children's class,
children 1 through 9 years of age are to be placed in THE CLUB's child care center.
The hours of operation are posted at the child care center. Children under 9 years
of age should not be brought into THE CLUB when the child care center is closed unless the
child will be under direct parent supervision. Children over 9 years of age who are
not in the child care area must conduct themselves in a manner that is acceptable
throughout THE CLUB. Management will immediately handle any problems by contacting
the parents. The ADVANTAGE CLUB is primarily intended as an adult fitness and
recreation facility; however, student members are welcome to utilize THE CLUB subject to
restrictions. Each area has specific restrictions.
1. Fitness center: children under 12
are not permitted to use the Nautilus, free weight or cardiovascular equipment. They
are also restricted for entering these areas unless under direct supervision of a parent.
2. Court sports: when
participating in court sports such as tennis, racquetball, basketball, aerobics, or
handball, children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or instructor.
3. Lounge area: the
upstairs lounge including TV and pool table is intended for adult club members.
- Fitness center - in consideration of other members and to promote safety, please
1. Do not bang or drop weights.
2. Replace all equipment (including
weights) when finished.
3. Limit use of cardio equipment to 15
minutes per machine when others are waiting.
4. Use the paper towels provided to
clean equipment after use.
5. Use a fit instructor as a spotter
when working out alone.
6. Do not bring children under the age
of 12 into the fitness areas. (see II.J.1.)
- Damages - willful or negligent damage caused to THE CLUB's property will be paid by
the member or member's guest causing said damage.
- Changes - THE ADVANTAGE CLUB reserves the right to alter, revise or change
initiation fees, monthly dues, and rules and regulations as necessitated by changing
conditions.
- Rules not inclusive - the rules and regulations contained herein are not inclusive.

III. Liability Waiver of
Claims
- It is expressly agreed that all use of THE
CLUB's facilities shall be undertaken by a member at his or her sole risk and THE
ADVANTAGE CLUB shall not be liable for any injuries or any damage to any member or guest,
or be subject to any claim, demand, injury or damages, including without any passive
negligence on the part of THE ADVANTAGE CLUB, its owners, employees, officers or
gents. The member for himself or herself, and on behalf of his or her executors,
administrators and signs, does hereby expressly forever release and discharge THE
ADVANTAGE CLUB, its successors and assigns, as well as its owners, officers, employees and
agents for all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action.
- It is specifically agreed that THE ADVANTAGE
CLUB shall not be responsible or liable to members for articles/property lost, damaged or
stolen while on club property.
